You should be able to use the palm of your hand to gently persuade the front corners of the bonnet in slightly to match the wings.

Normally in doing that, you raise the sides of the bonnet slightly too high but in your case with it sitting low, I think it would work well.

Just remember slowly slowly catchy monkey.Move it only very slightly and then check and then repeat until it fits better. also, keep a close eye on the side edges of the bonnet where it folds at 90 degrees as these can and will crease easily if you bend the corners in too much.

I'm not saying it will work but it should do and it's easy so worth a go first.

I need to make a relief cut in the side lip of the bonnet as it's bulged.

I'm very pleased though, I was in a foul mood about it all yesterday

Which hinges did you go for in the end Carlos?  Minivation or Minispares?

Well that's something I didn't know, I thought they were Minispares own design.

They've got the M on them, come with the same instructions as those on the minivation website

Really quick update, LOADS going on, however not much of it has involved the mini.

I've built a shed and put half the stuff from the garage into it

And then this morning I've strengthened the bracket on the bonnet where I've had to slot it to make it fit, unfortunately I can't clamp it anywhere to dress the weld so I'll have to wait until my mate comes round next weekend and we'll crack on then. It should be a lot easier with more space.

I went into the garage today and found a mini.

I cleaned some of the sticky sealant off the lock striker plate then ended up cleaning the drain that runs in front of the garage door.

I'm really struggling with enthusiasm at the moment

Having someone to come along and say 'right, lets do this' is just what you need

Is it the same one we used for priming or did you get another in the end?

Today I've fitted the drivers door catch striker plate.

I don't know where the screws are to fit the latching mechanism.

Hopefully I'll find some time towards the end of next week. If anyone know's where I'll find some enthusiasm that'd be great.
