i seen you live up bristol might be easier if i still put the 5 port on get some miles on it so ist not as tight and then come up to you so its not so much of an inconvience for you travel all the way down to cornwall.

just an idea

has the holes in the block been blocked up or are u using specail head gasket,if the hose are still there just fit the pipe on the block and put somthing solid in the other end and clamp it up,or u can get rubber hose end caps

no my cylinder head has no water ways at all, so i can run a standard head gasket, and i dont have to cap of my water ways on the block or use a special head gasket

what ill do is find soemthing big enougth to clamp in one end of the dry deck pipe which should stop the water coming out

ill have the car driving by riv run for sure, just not 7 portr power 5 port fart power, ahh well.

after the month ive had at work i need some down time, got premoted begging of the month, and had 2 new baby chefs join my boat which ive taken under my wing, probllem is ive seen spoons sharper.

one of them last week decided to poor cream over me by mistake and the outher one is lazy. thank god there both on leave, and i wont see them till half way through next month because ill be on leave and doing a level 3 first aid course.

but got 2 weeks of so ill spend 2 days getting the mini running and the rest of the time enjoying myself

right well heres the good news

the mini started today, ran really nasty on my first hiff 44, was running way to rich and back firing through the carb, so we switched it of and put anouther one of my hiff 44's on and its running like a dream, same carb i used on my 1380.

was so chuffed, was just about to take it for a spin when i noticed no oil pressure what so ever.
so switched it of.

ive hear no grinding noises nothing like that, havnt run it but ive checked oil cooler which was empty, i checked my pressure relif valve thingy and its dry.

just looks liek no oil was being transfered from the sump to the rest of the engine, so after alot of reading and thinking, the only thing i can put it down to is, that stupid little o ring between the gear box and engine.

so looks like ill be pulling my engine out of my car tomorrow and stripping my engine, to say im upset is an understainment.

oh and ive had to change the starter motor, im using a verto starter with the solenoid attached, my lightened fly wheel has the wrong ring gear on it, so solved the probllem of why it wouldnt crank over

Engine out again. I know exactly how you feel.... :) Did you spin it over with the plugs out to check the oil pressure before you started it? If the preasure was there then it might just be a matter of putting some oil down the hole in the front of the block where the pipe for the filter comes off and pushing the car backwards while its in 4th gear. This would prime the pump and get rid of any vacuume that may be stopping your preasure. Hope its something simple and every thing is ok in the engine. You would be amazed how quick the bearings wear when they dont get oil.
