i got pulled over the other day for speeding. I was asked to go and sit in the car and was told about speeding. I appologised to the officer and he didnt give me a fine or points. However he did pulll me again about my wheels sticking out too far. Iv got 12x6 on with minispares group 4 arches and apparently they still stick out too far. Evenn tho i had to change the arches wen i got pulled for my wheels b4 and given 14 days to rectify the problem. Which i did and got signed off. Any way at the end of it he gave me a nice little slip of paper saying i have been driveing carelessly and irresponsibly and if i get pulled over again in the next 12 month i can have my car siezed. Aint that nice.

Sorry for the rant

Woah, bit harsh!
i've driven about with a good 2" dish sticking out and avoided being pulled
to be fair i think we've all done worse speeding wise so im not amazingly bothered about the points
but i have learnt my lesson

How can it be a 30 mph limit with no street lighting. no street lighting = no built up area = no 30mph limit.

a dual carriageway with no residential area, no street lighting and a 30mph sign is still a 30mph limit :-

I went through a mobile speed camera twice, I just seen them both times out corner of my eye and I slamed the anchors on, haven't had anything through yet it's been about 3 weeks, if both of them come through I can kiss my licence good bye. If they caught me I was probably doing about 47 in a 40 both times

Don't worry about your insurance, thats gonna go up or down regardless of, I'm not saying to everyone to take a lacksture approach to speeding if you got a clean licence, just saying don't stress out over it

And yes the course is fun, everyone is there for the same reason (Sir yes Sir) :D and even more funnier when one of the other lot turns up in a lambo and says he was caught doing 36 in a 30 :- I was caught out by the two cameras close by Minispares (potters bar) and got a nice picture of me smiling as I'm driving, well I was driving a mini! :D

It lasts for 3 years so if you get caught again theres no course option and straight to points

no "but hey". if you aren't actually sure what the limit is there and it's relatively local, go and have a look. If it's a dualie and 30, then they may have had some sort of roadworks earlier in the day, and the cameras weren't changed or anything. In which case you could appeal. In fact if it IS a 30, but the signs are obscured, you can still appeal. If it is a proper 30, then you've had a nice ride out! :-
