Shouldn't the people that own the jig know how to do it?


Yes, they do: were going to try a certain way, its only that there aren't many strong points on a Mini to fix it to the jig.

Either your using too much flash, its in direct sunlight or someones seriously buggered up with the paint code :proud:

What sandpaper did you use to feather the boot again i know it was wet and dry but what grade? I love the finished project did your dad do it it looks good :proud:

Ok...

Well started with 320, sand it! Then used 800, primer it, 800, primer it, 1000 , top coat, 1200, top coat & Buffer until your hearts content! Yes daddy did it :proud:

I dont think theres need to take the top coat off completely, I had loads of high spots and low spots in the paint, so I used 320 until I got a fairly smoothe layer of paint. Then used 800 to feather in parts, then primer light sand of 800 again, primer another light sand of 800. Primer then use 1000 and get it real smoothe, use luke warm soapy water here as it helps smooth it! Dry it, top coat it. Then 1200 it even more smoOOothe! Final top coat and buffer. :)

Tom, frankly sick of sanding :proud:
