How badly creased is it? It might come out easily when the rear and bits are off.

Yeah you can see where the impact has stopped. Just past the rear lights.
Id:
cut out the back panel,
see if the other creased panels can be bashed back
If they cant be bashed back, cut them out and weld new metal in.

I don't think its a "rip off". Its a fair bit of work to do properly, and would take quite a while I expect.
