HIFF38 on a 12g940 head on 998 block sound any good? that's been my plan for my project mini for a while now :)

also turbo 998 is a very tempting prospect!

the 998 guide was great reading last night! cheers!

im going to be running a 1060 block :)

carb ill go for hif44 cause my mate give me one the other day haha so its all good

Glad you liked it

Yeah not bad :) remember you will have to pocket the block or recess the exhaust valves into the head. If you dont want to you could go for 12g295
It would be worth having the head gas flowed ported and polished :)

not got any work done to the engine yet ):

had no time, my mates keeps ringing me asking me to do bits for him

but ill have few new parts by monday :thumbsup: thanks to a firend giving me 2 donor engines both 998's i believe

so its all goooooood :cry:

Its also got much needed info for me as I have decided to get busy with the tuning while i rebuild the top end of my 998 after a blown head gasket

and i should be using some off it soon to get on with my engine

but mini needs welding up first

i started welding my shell in preparation for the swift gti engine i have, got very bored with welding, picked up my 998 with tax and test and guess what................. i havn't been near the shell/project now i have a runner to tinker with

I wish i had kept on welding as its all gone rusty now and need re doing so don't give up even when your sick of it

Ahh, what you doing to it?



Making the oil pump inlet and out let bigger and gasket to match

making the crank oil ways line up with the shells

opening the water pump way up to allow more flow

grub screwing few water ways shut :)

just silly little mods to aid the engine

yeah deffently work :)

as all its doing is allowing a better flow of oil and water, to the parts were its needed most

it was very intresting
