any chance i can get a copy of your 998 guide? i used to be a part of basingstoke mini club! went to college at BCOT which is where i bought my mini :D small world

hehe when i was at college i made an aluminium gear knob for my mini! lol

cheers, will send you a pm in a sec, im looking to go turbo, but that means more buying things whereas i have a good condition 12g940 head waiting to go on my project :D

i messaged martin at MRA mini's :D

i asked him about making aluminium push rods he said they wont be strong enough to take the stresses ):

ah well ill make my custom gear leaver and knob then :goaway:

by the way people sticking my engine on the back burner for few weeks till i can get sorted with stuff :withstupid: i got mini parts coming out of every cornor and i need to get a "Mini" on the road so best get moving :rolleyes:

i shall :) rebuilding the head next week i hope!!

if the parts turn up then ill have it pressure tested and that then leave it alot in a box till blocks done ): block wont be done till after june now since Download Festival Has Piroity over it :)

thanks for the guide you made just read the carb section and i was supprised you didn't mention a HIFF 38? i thought they were pretty good for 998 and hiff 44 was too big for a 998? well thats what i gathered from vizard lol

I wouldnt put a hif44 on a 998, kills the bottom end torque. Hif38 or twin HS2's are a much better carb for the job.

34 be more than enough to power it

I would only put twin hs2's on there
I know a few people with HIF44 on a 998 its fine if its got the head to go with it :)
