just read this whole thread, its only 3pages but could be that a mod has condenced it anyway some really great info here! interested to see how much you spend and what power you get, personally i will be using a HIFF38 on my project i hear good things

and yeah it is a good source of information

Are you going to post some pics of the work you are doing or is this thread just a general chit chat?? You might find a mod moving it to the Mini Chat section. Ive just read it all the way through and as far as I can tell you havnt actually done anything yet!!

have not got round to do much

sorting stuff out for working on engine this weekend so should have an update i hope

but its a sorce of information for people intested in doing the 1275 head on 998 convertion

you did not have to read though the whole thread though.

I prefer reading through this as it is, with some chat about the work, rather than no updates for like 2 weeks and only a few pictures...

General chit chat is good. Its on here in a constructive way so people can see what to do with their cars and can get alot of ideas.
A thread with just pictures on doesnt give people nearly as many ideas as a thread with lots of disussion over Heads, Carbs and Camshafts to name a few in here



Ive heard lots of good things abour MRA minis but they are hardly local to me, which is a shame :/

Oops!!I didnt mean to upset anyone, As I said before I did read the whole thread and yes it is very informative and interesting. I was just pointing out that there is a section on the forum for discussions and chat. Hope the build goes well and you get the results your looking for.

Haha thats alright. Im writing a tuning guide at the mo aswell for the 998

Just seen your only in Alton, Im just the other side of Basingstoke on the a33 towards reading.

I know it might be a longer drive for you (half hour) but come and join the best Mini Club Range from 10-30 cars at the meets and loads of information. We have standard 850's from 1960 right up to 1380 Miglia Spec racers and Honda VTEC conversions
