Love the progress on this and the interior is amazing.I love the fake wood effect on Clubbie estates but I am not sure it would work on your's thought the walnut is very nice. All decisions I wish I was making. What are the front seats originally from, they really suit the car.

I Believe the seats to be a set that Microcell produced. They need a lot of work as all the foams are past their best, the rubber diaphragms are totally shot and the covers have seen better days.

It was the red they use on the new Renault Clio

Cheers. Seem that colour before and like the idea of it on my mini is it a single stage paint or do you have to do silver base then red over the top.

It was a two stage, one of the reasons I went for the bronze as it would have cost a lot more in materials alone. Not sure if it was silver base, seem to remember the painter saying it was a different kind of red.

Over the Christmas period I have been mainly working on some of the interior trim and parts, whilst my dad continues with the wiring.
So a list of stuff that I have been working on:
-Modified the top dash rail,
-Made subframes for the front seats, with rails so they are now adjustable,
-Trimmed the A pillars, B pillars and the rail the headliner sits on.
-Made all the covers for the door/interior panels, and are now ready to be covered on the panels.
-I have started to strip down one the front seats

Cheers guys.

More pictures:

The dash rail may not look that different, a few small changes. The main difference is that it is a lot slimmer and I have removed the ashtray.

The old rubber diaphragms were totally shot, so I have made up new webbing.

I have also fitted the glass and electric window mechanisms.

The wiring progresses, most of the front looms are now installed and terminated in 15way plug/sockets. The additional wires have resulted in a loom that's the same size as the standard loom. See the attached diagrams that detail the extra works, you'll see that we've effectively got a 3 Megjolt MAP solution (Map1, Limp, Map2).

We've also customised all loom by using glassfibre reinforced braided sleeving to get rid of the grey PVC loom tape normally used.

More pics of the wiring so far. Hard to get to excited about something so mundane:

There's still a couple of weekends worth of work to do - then comes the testing !!
