i found out today i definatley need a new front subframe :'( i have been a bit lazy this week seem to be lacking motivation.
things are on the up though, my pearents get a new car on tuesday and its too big to get in the garage until we move some stuff around, so my car will be in the warm dry garage for a while. and i have taken friday off work so will have a long weekend to work on the car!
i really need to finish cutting all the rust out so i can have a rust free mini, then its off to the shot blasters to remove the old paint!

I was just wondering which bucket seats are those, and they certainly look narrow.

yeah dog, it was easy.
i went to the local scrap metal yard and bought soem 1 inch box section. then just welded up a rectangle about the size of the floor plan.
i then welded on some foot long legs.
then i got some casters, a mate got me them for free! and welded these onto the legs.
then plonk your bare shell on it (must be bare or the weight will bend the floor plan)
im on the Mk 2 now as the first set of casters i used where little rubber ones that fell in half, so id recomend useing the big solid plastic type casters.
additions id recomend are.
a peice of mdf on the top to spread the weight as the frame has dented my floor plan
trianulate the leg because one of mine fell of when it got stuck and i pushed it!
use casters with brakes as mine car rolled down the drive!

ive now finished welding and grinding back the c-pillar its gonna need a bit of filler action but it looks good.
ive also ground back the boot welds and just have to fill the big whole now, might go do that in a minute!
good having the car in the garage.

i want to go back and re do some of the welding i did on the boot floor, it looks like a had a fammily of pigeons living in there!
oh well just have to cover it with carbon!
and i did go back out and weld up the last hole in the bootlid, just cant grind as its too late!
the boots not going to be smoothed i just wanted to get rid of the ugly numberplate light, now all i have to do is find some nice little lights to replace it. i want the little ones that stuart wright has on his blue turbo!
