it going to be good after i have had that done. because i will then be welding on my new sills and rear valence.
then i will trial fit my front subframe, and put my doors back on so i can line up the scuttle and a- panels. then i can start makeing the removeable front.
then i need to trial fit the roll cage and make all the additions to that, mount my seat, extend the steering column and various other things.
all that has to be taken out then the inside will be sprayed. then the roll cage re- fitted after i have had it powder coated.
then i have to cut the roof off.
then i need to get my carbon doors made up.
and then deep breath. its time for paint.
still gotta decide on colour

why do you ask if im sure? are they not the best of ideas then?
the boot is now done i grinded back the rest of the welds, and primed them. so that can go in the garage loft till im ready for paint now!
i took my passenger side hub and drive shaft into work and cleaned them in the parts washer. they have now been wire brushed all over and painted black, along with the disc centers and edge.
i have also given the drive flanges a second coat. and i have now dug out from my parts store new:
ball joint kit
wheel bearings
C.v joint
ive clean the treads on all the bolts so tomorrow when all the paint has dried i will assemble them. and again store them for when i build the subframes up.

my MB splits weigh in at 2.8Kg each! i was surprised to see that the Kad mag wheels dont weigh a huge amount less as they are 2.52Kg
and i weighed my old ERA turbo alloys and they weigh 6.2Kg each, so just by changing the wheels i will save 11.2 Kg

i just bolted my drive flanges to my discs as well they look really good.

maybe i am going have to look into this a bit more.
i haevnt got too many loans wendy, i thnk the car has cost me twice what i thought so far!
and for colour its definately going to be black, with gun metal grey subframes and roll cage.
i got some stickers made up with my surname for my rear windows, and also one saying tow for my tow eye.
been to minispares and got stuck in traffic but i got:
hub puller
cam bearings
bronze valve guides
bootlid seal
rear brake springs
rear hub bearings
ball joint kit (to replace the ones i used on my others car)
bonnet pins
new eyelet bush for my gaz damper
upper arm repair kits
i was going to get a rear subframe but they are £165 and im sure i have seen them cheaper than that!

Mowog, for the carbon doors couldnt you use the steel frame and bond/rivet a carbon skin to it? and add steel braces to the inside for strength?
Awesome sounding colour scheme!
i had thought about something like this for the doors, its a good compromise i supose.
its taken a long while to come up with the scheme, just need to stick to it. the bits should be being powder coated next week or so so i wont be able to change my mind then!
