ok i think i have changed my mind about engine spec, i not going to say much now but i think i should be looking at about 130bhp! :w00t:

the only thing is this is going to be money i havent got, so i will have to save a bit longer meaning the car will take longer :genius:

i havent really done any work on the car, but tommorrow i will put it into the garage again so i can do some.

i now have my carbon door cards and i got my steering wheel for christmas, so here are some picture of them and also a couple i took about a wwek before christmas.

cheers guys

yeah its the nicest steering wheel ever IMO.

yep i have got to drill the wheel, its not much of a problem to me as i have access to the right machines, also my boss only has 3 holes in it not the usual 8 or so, thats why i had to get an undrilled wheel.

yeah dog dont do it, you will regret having to pay for the car ages after you finish it!

although im not getting a loan for the head im already onto my second loan from spending too much on the car, but like i keep saying to myself, im only doing this once and i want it right first time!

well i have placed an order and the 25th is when i should get the head, i know what people say about minisport but this is the firt time i have used them and they were very helpfull on the phone, so nows there chance to shine! :genius:

no spec as yet as i am undecided about valve sizes and carburation at the moment, im hoping for 150bhp but for now i will say 130 to be realsitic.

cheers $way i have been watching your topic too and the car is coming along nicely, your car made my mind up about painting my car black! and yeah the bucket seat is just bolted straight to the floor behind the cross member, but i have the seat in the highest holes in the runner so i think if you had to mount yours onto your crossmembers it would be at a good hight on the lowest setting, if you know what i mean! car porn :w00t:

cheers mate,

i havent been able to do too much recently, waiting for postie to bring me some bits and pieces...

yeah black minis look best imo. :w00t:

i might be buying some seats from smudger depending on whther i like them or not will find out at bingley. i might make my own side moutns from alloy angle because i dont think any standard ones are long enough to fit between both my xmembers. how long are yours end to end?

yeah will definately have to be very low side mounts... bonus of making my own i spose...

keep the porn coming lol.

yeah my mate has bought a set of seats like the ones smudger sells, he has no padding on the but they are still comfy.
the seat runners are about 400mm long if that helps?

alright vanman? yeah i will be at L2B but not in the project, just my everyday beast!

cool, are they CF? whats the shoulder width like on them compared to your imola's?

i'd prefer seats with padding... does your mates seats have any material on them at all? or are they plain CF?

400mm is cool, because i'd have them bolted down 345mm between centres (middle of xmembers).

its a choice between imola's or sumdgers then... will see what smudger's are like at bingley then decide...

there's plenty more to be getting on with in the mean time...
