been in the garage tonight, decided to take a while of the shell to do some work on the shiney bits so i get a bit more enthusastic about the car again, going to get the rear subframe painted and up to spec.

i got the new mounts i got to fit the front subframe, just had to do a bit of filing, and there is a picture of them and also the triangulated bit on the tie rod mount.

on the rear subframe i have welded a triangle onto the bit that bill sollis recomends and i also decided i will take a bit more weight out of it by drilling a few more holes here and there.

pictures show new mount, seam welded tower, tie bar stiffener

dark grey sounds good, anything part from boring original black :proud:, maybe a dark colour like dark blue, or whatever colour mini is?

i recon it saves a bit of weight, not too noticeable, but when hes doing it to the front and back, and lightening everything else...it will soon add up, or subtract down :proud: ie the more stuff with holes in = less weight overall

yeah im not gonna say anything about the colour till its done, lets just say its subtle but miglia inspired.

not sure about the weight saving, it looks lighter if that counts, probably not though. but yeah its all got to add up in the end.

just got my exhaust wrap and foot rest today, pleased with both and i think i will do my exhaust tonight.

might come in useful in the future...
