good call mini13 i forgot about putting one in, its a good idea in case i want to run a turbo aswell. i will get bidding on that.

i finished the drilling on my front subframe so i just need to weld the new triangles in place

No worries, that seller is a regular on turbo minis, seems a good bloke, just roun the corner to us to,

Another thing i just thought of, well a couple actally,

how about drilling some holes so you can get a socket through to undo the tricky wok bolts (like in the pic), and trimming the driveshaft joint holes so a built up inner pot joint fits through. Plus remeber so seam weld it, especially the tower tops.

he has already seam welded the towers. good idea about the pot joint holes.

How much weight have you taken off the subby by drilling the holes in it?

CAU998 i think it was you my mate bought a rear subframe off, was it you?

Lol urm possibly was it you and a mate who came to collect? I know i sold it a couple months back but who to i don't know i've got the memory of a gold fish! Would be nice to see its been put to go use. Like the idea of tubbing the rear arches by the way.

i will have a look at my everyday car to get an idea where some of the tricky bolts are, but i like the idea! i suppose every little helps, i can see the engine going in and out a few times!

im was looking at some of the other seams and thinking i should weld the, im going to go ahead do the rest as well now!

miniboo im not sure how much weight i have saved, i will have to have a weigh in and see what its at!

tubbing has been the one main thing i am pleased with, im so glad i did it!

na keeping it old skool with cones and shocks, ive got a pair of switune race cones and im going to try and get another pair, dampers im thinking of trax spax or avo motorsport dampers, both of the single adjustable type.

well i changed my name so that confuse a few people.

and i got home from a week in spain yesterday which was cool.

it come round to that horrible time of year for my everyday mini which has given me an excuse to sort out a few of the bits that needed doing so im going to be busy on that one but hopefully should be mot'd and tax'd again by the weekend, once thats done if the weather picks up i should be getting the final prep work will be done on the base for my workshop so i can get on with laying the concrete!

hows it coming anyway? I like the 6 pots... very nice. u mite have a problem with the back end getting light under braking. Thats the issue me and my mate are havin at the mo.

i thing i know what you mean about the back end, but i am going to be using a biased pedal box so i should be able to dial that out!

ive done no more work on my car as i have been working on my everyday car to get it through the mot, i found i had a worn radius arm when i was giving it a pre mot cheack over so i have go one but as usual the bolts snapped in the subframe so i had to get a tap from work and drill it out this afternoon, its know all on there but i lost the circlip from the slave cylinder so i need to gte a new on before i can finish it, hopefully it will be all tested tomorrow!

i have been watching miglia sets on ebay but my bid of £250 was well off the mark!

They are nice dampers aren't they. Wrong colour for your project though!

im sure i could live with a bit of purple for such an imense set of dampers! i cant belive how much they cost!
