Well an update to this thread is more than overdue!

Currently I have the 1275 in pieces. To be built up very soon, and put in over Christmas!

The spec, as in parts I have for the engine are,

Twin hs4s
Moorspeed Stage 3 head
Swiftune sw5
Roller tip rockers
1293 pistons

Plus lots of not so interesting things!!!

The block and crank are going of to rob walker engineering to have the bores done and cam shells. Crank wedging knife edging regrinding and hardening!

Gearbox to guess works for a full refurb and cross pin diff!

On the aesthetics there is a 1275 gt cluster to go in, a choice of many formula gt steering wheels (I am becoming a collector it would seem)

I have been buying so many wheels, but rostyles are going on with a032rs

Here is a cheeky pic of where he currently resides! More updates to follow :)

It is soon to have different wheels altogether though, I think they wheels I am having will be a first on a mini, :)

Don't worry though they are still 10s and arches defiantly won't be being fitted!

They won't look to different than an original fitment mini wheel, however they will be 5.75 inches wide :) pictures to follow once they are completed

Ahhh, young boy, I too am just a child at a mere 20 years old! Only having a mini since i was 18.

Before I can share my great wisdom with you, I first need to know more about your car.

However it is the offset of your wheels that will ultimatly determin what width wheels you can have! My mini has cooper s disk brakes, these give a 1" wider track to the car. So my reverse rims (4.5" wide) which didnt stick out from my arches when on drums all round now protrude slightly. My car has fully adjustable suspension so with how much camber I like to run, brings the wheels in slightly. Many people look at my wheels and make comment that they prodrude too far, however, I do a fair few miles In Noddy (alhough he is my second car) and never have any issues with being pulled over. He always flys through his MOT like it too.

However the wheels I will be having made will be 5.25" wide, but because of the offset, resulting in the inner part of the rim being further inboard, the tyres will actually prodrude less than they do now on a wider wheel.

I hope that all makes sense!

Remember, with great power comes great responsibility!
