yeah they are, im not using any key system though so my battery cut off switch is effectively my key, dont know if i should fit a key switch under the dash for protection, also bearing in mind this is not a every day use car, i got a van for that:P

and andy, have the pistons arrived yet? 8) enjoy the bomb proof wrapping, at least they wont get broken :D

brilliant! no they were bomb proof XD

no updates for ages...sorry:)

well...the camera is still out of action. its just died and being really wierd?

anyway. today i got the grinder out and stuck a sanding disk on, i decided to lighten all of my con rods,
i have removed the seam running along the stem ( ?) of the rod either side, making them nearly flat and radius'd all of the edges. im going to get a mill on the caps next weel to get rid of the big chunky bit of metal sticking in the way. then radius and smooth that,

in the end it will look something like the lightened 1300 conrod int he 3rd edition david vizard book:)

flywheel is still not back :( oh well.

wiring wiring wiring. getting there, lights work under their own power now :D but nothing else XD more sorting out tomorrow and HOPEFULLY be able to get the dash in and see all of my pretty dials light up! yaay!

every morning i get up to see my weber staring me in the face, i wonder when it will be sucking in anger? ( no not like that...)

good bye, pictures when i get a camera XD

ha yeah, if im gonna do it, im going to do it myself ( well, as much as if physically and knowledgeably possible :P ) and the insurance, i Love traders policy XP getting put on that, mods not a problem, most probably under a grand, BUT, and a big but, we will only find out the actual amount when its done. so im going to build it how i want it to be and then worry about insurance later XD

and its wikedXD we have had to move the mini to another, enclosed shed as my dads "44 jeep was sitting in the rain under a perforated tarp getting a bit rusty. he didnt like it, it was a " even the washers are original and the nuts have US stamped on them " job. nutter.

no one commenting :( XD

well, progress is nought, zero, null, nuthin.

crank going to get assembled with clutch and flywheel and be ballenced, but need some parts to finish it and sent off, so nothing yet.. :(

got asked by a mate on my college course ( CRC, anyone on here goes there give us a shout!) if i wanted 3 stripped minis ( no shells but everything else engines ect) and one rusty shell for 200 squid, who could say no??? couldnt have the shell though, if it was to restore them to sell i would want a van or a pickup, both of which COULD be resto jobs as i have sources of old ones down here!

seriously, there are so many minis tucked up in barns and garages in essex, i know of 8 in about a 20 mile radius. crazy stuff!

so if anyone wants a shell that needs a boot floor, floor and front end il find out how much he wants. he has a whole steel front end that will go with the sale.

ha thanks:) max, personally i think that the earlier one ( white book) is more informative to the general tuner, tells you how to modify the whole engine, gearbox, clutch ect. try to find one:P if you cant the yellow book is just as good, but more detailed. and i know, the garage is awsome 8)

twr, thank you, everyone loves my garage 8-) im more worried about putting soemthing through it O_O
no 1L engines ( i think) got a 1275 one? no ideas on conditions of everything as its just word of mouth and a few old dodgey pics on the ole Facebook... il let you know if anyhting turns up thats usable :highfive:
