I'am totally jealous of your garage! God I wish I had that, so much progress is halted on my mini because I cant be bothered braving the cold on the front drive >_<

Excellent looking clubby, looks like its been really well restored and such a lovely colour, keep it up mate

Seriously. I'm unbelieveably jealous of your GT. Best looking one on the forum, IMO.

You're lucky to have the money etc to be getting on with this build! Enjoy it, I look forward to more updates :)

I think this is my favourite topic on this forum ! :D When you say track car, are you planning on competing in it or just for a few days of fun?

:highfive: its because im brilliant ;D what was the aim is to build it to be able to compete in sprints / hillclimbs. so we have mildly prepaired the shell for the spec such as separating the boot, passenger space and the engine bay, welded in cage, strengthened shell ect. its going the be a road car but have the ability for me to pop along to a sprint / hillclimb and be able to be competitive :P

My experience of Hill climbs and sprints are that the 16V boys rule the roost..or 7 and 8 port heads all on 1380's with no fan, water pump or alternator.. So if you want to be competetive in the 1400 class then you might want to rethink your engine bay...but if its just for a bit of fun then you have chosen the right sport...I love hill climbs...
