You can get impact wrenches that are battery now and some of them are better than the air ones!

you need to take the selector shaft and disengage it from all of the gears, its just a wiggling game top get that dont with the selctor
then you can slide the gears to lock them of and then if you turn the box upside down on a bench clamp it down and you should be able to get in there with a socket and get it of
as thats how i did mine, and tahts how i got it back on as well

that all depends if you are Giant haystacks or a skinny weedTurn the box over on a flat surface so its more stable...stand on top and PULL on the bar..you can devellop more power that way and 150lb is no bother..

All the gears are in just need to get the uprated diff pin in and all that jazz. Been following Andyminimad's gearbox build thread here:

Been very helpful. Although i didnt strip the gears apart its been nice knowing what to expect e.t.c
Next job is to get it all together and get the block to the shop

On more topical note.
Box of bits arrived.

And got the main gearbox section finished today. In the process of dismantling the dif to get the new uprated pin in then i can put it all back together again properly again. Centre oil pick up pipe and new cog which was previously chipped as can be seen previously.
