Quick question again. is it worth me upgrading to rimflow valves instead of my standard 12g295 valves? Seems a shame to get porting e.t.c done to then leave noraml old valves in.

Also for the new cam will the standard springs do or will i need to upgrade to double springs?

Cheers again, headache is slowly clearing as coming to conclusions. How do people do this for a living?!

Mike

Mike, you could get the old double valve springs checked out. They might be fine....?

The only bit you can't do youeself is the 'load-producing capacity'.

Haha yeah, Rimflows have been dyno proved again and again to not produce any worthwhile power for the price.
Especially for a road car.

So mt central oil feed pipe, new motion gear and few other bits arrived today. managed to get the oil feed pipe in but for the life of me cant get the bloody nut off to release the first motion gear >_<

Dad is home tommorow so going to get another carefully placed crow bar/extended socket it on it then! Also jsut spend rather a large sum on mini spare, including new cam, bearings for both gears and big ends, new rad cap(mine went yesterday, having to keep rad topped up each evening :( ) Bonnet felt kit, and few other bits. Once they arrive along with the gasket set from mini sport(when it eventually arrives) can get the transfer case sorted, block off to cleaners and get it bored and its all go :)

Anyone got any tips on how to get the forst motion nut off? Been trying for hours now, trying jamming cogs with crowbars, wood, other cogs but its on stupidly tight! Some days just wonder why i bothered starting...... :(
