I see the forum police have failed to identify this thread as being slightly on the homophobic side!

I'm wondering now you know if I shouldn't have put on my profile just which model of mini I got myself. It was soon after that when my wife decided to leave and I'm thinking she read my profile, found out I bought a Mayfair and thought to her self "THEY'RE FOR GAYS". Thanks tommc92 the OP. NO, really, thanks!!

i agree that 1275gt is possibly the most manly, however marc bolan did have long hair? (ok it was hiss gf's car, i know)

as regards actual homosexual people and minis, i do know of a mini sales/restoration firm that had a mini rose in a few weeks ago (a customers car) and we (i mean they) did all say how much we liked the car!

however we did think it would be great to put our turbo lump in it, which really "straightens" an otherwise rather "limp wristed" mini.

Actually, my mum had a 1275GT. So. She also wants a Fiat 500, so no, she's not manly. And watches rediculous amounts of Strictly Come Dancing.

Dam, I've been driving the wrong mini all these years >_<

But then the 25 is Mayfair based with bits from the 1275gt parts bin.

Don't think it's homophobic. If it weren't so light-hearted, I think we'd be in trouble. I think it's kinda like saying "Ford Ka's are women's cars" and saying it's sexist.

I don't think anyone with a limp wrist could drive something with such a lack of power steering/general amenities/luxury/comfort.

Maybe it's the Mini itself that is gay? Like any good parent, I'd be accepting and supportive if my Mini decided it preferred a bit of exhaust pipe action.
