Well still no sign of the knuckle joints, hopefully I'll have them tomorrow then I can start rebuilding the suspension

painted and waxoyled arches and subframe, still needs a second coat.

Bit'o paint for the engine bay.

Lower arms and tie-rods

Hi-Lo's eagerly awaiting the knuckle joints!

MORE suspension goodies

Painted the back of the engine

More photos of the free wheels I got, was expecting some old crappy steel wheels when my Dads friend said "I've got some old mini wheels my son had if you want them". But I nearly exploded when he handed me these!! There not mint but just need a good clean!
Thanks for looking, hopefully the next update will be a big one with more lovely (expensive) bits

I hope your guys minis aren't as infested with rot like mine was, my front end has already started to bubble, I think I'll be going to speak to the bodyshop that done it, its only been a year!! And it's been sat in a garage for 5 months of that! Stripping is good until you find rust hiding under the carpets.
Got the knuckle joints today woo! will be putting together the suspension this week. Only problem is I sheer 2 bolts in the rear subframe so need to get them out before the arms can go back on!
Might try welding a rod onto them and turning them out like that, if that fails I'll get some easy outs and see how they go. If that fails I'll get angry and destroy the rear subframe in a fit of rage with a lump hammer, hopefully it won't come to that

Get some photos up later.

Got some paint on the car, pretty happy with the colour match just needs to be rubbed back and a couple more coats, then polish it up to blend it.

Front suspension in minus the hubs, got one hub ready built, and one half way done, although I think I need some new balljoints

Also I've got these bits laying around and going to get them up for sale, So if anyone wants them drops me a PM.

Should have some more pictures/updates by the end of the day, I've got the boot floor panel fitted and half welded in place. So more updates coming soon!

Welding and panel fitting, not as fun as it sounds, especially when you have a temperamental welder. Managed to get it welded into place to the floor though.

and have drilled some holes for spot welds, will need opening up a bit though

started building the front end up as I got bored of bodywork, and my friend who did the welding went, and I'm not confident to let loose on my car yet

One built hub, new bears and greased balljoints, one feels a bit stiff and tight, may have to change them... hmmmmm

Also cleaned and put new shoes on my back plates, and cleaned up the bolts and handbrake cable brackets, ready for when I get round to tackling those sheered bolts, REAAALLLLYYY not looking forward to that.

Also got another coat of paint on the engine, and on that note, NEVER buy halfords engine paint, its just awful.

Thanks for looking!!!

I have got the 2 sheered bolts out of the subframe!!!! YAY, took a fair while, welding nuts and washers to them to make a make-shift bolt head and then turned them out! I've got a new set of bolts on there way so no

Also I have ran a tap through the threads for the radius arm brackets to get rid of the grime in the threads. I've started building up my new radius arms ready for fitting when the new bolts gets here.
Have also done a bit more spraying on the passengers doorstep, looking much better now

And I've ordered some more stuff!
Got a grease gun
rear valance support brackets (mine are haggered)
some 5/16 UNF bolts
handbrake cable
Nothing interesting just boring stuff I need now

Hopefully get one radius arm on today if I can be arsed, might just sit around all day and play battlefield as its raining

anyway, I'll put up some pictures of the progress later!!
Thanks for looking!!
