Got the HD Camera! :)

Going to clean the subframes up tomorrow, then it's finally a rolling shell.

It's late so I'm not gonna sit and type for too long, so here's the pics.

I did say I started..
I got fed up >.< But it's clean enough..

Small update, No progress lately, just been cleaning the front subframe, and a few other bits and bobs..
Conversion pannel for the bootlid came the other day, so I can finally paint the outside of the shell :)
Also, I have been given this picture by the previous owners (they use to run it on the road before my mum and dad ran it on the road)
Out of respect, I've blanked thier faces out..

Its looking good man. Shame it needs so much work doing to it but i guess thats the majority of the fun!
Haha, i'm kinda' Jealous that you've a MK1 and I've only a MK3 but hey, any classic Mini is a win as far as i'm concerned! :P

True, so very true :P

This is actually pretty good condition, I went to view one in Liecstershire before we settled with this one, and it was crisp to the touch, seats where all gone from the mouse living in it >.<

Having to update this thread again because of the forum hack/downtime thingy >:(

Sorry that some of the pics are somewhat blury, I've managed to get the camera somewhat more HD, also, I like the word somewhat, can you tell?

In my half-term holidays, I went to Nuneaton to fetch this subframe, got it for £63, cheap eh? the only down side, 2 hours travelling to get it! and they didn't even offer us a drink or anything when we got there, took the money and bam, anyway, it's better than it looks, they spent all the time putting nice engine steadys etc on, stainless steel bolts, but didn't clean before they painted it - badly, none the less, here's the pictures

Also dragged out the Ol' 850 to see what needs doing to that, suprising, not alot, ofcourse it will have to have a full rebuild/paint and unleaded seats fitted, but that's not to come for a while.

And finally, I went to BnQ this weekend, well, now with the re-post, last weekend, and bought myself one of these grinders for £20, did intend to get two for £40, instead of 1 grinder for £50, but they only had 1, cheap little thing to abuse, then when I'm done burn it out unless it does on it's own accord and send back under warranty ^_^.

Also got a wire brush mount to go on it, was £18 for one brand new at BnQ, went to a local dealer and got 2... for under a fiver!

Anyway, tomorrow I shall be cleaning the suspension bits, then she's rolling!

Anyway, small-ish update.

Got the subframes back from the sand blaster, only got 1 picture atm, it's been raining non stop and I don't want to get them out for more pictures till it's dry, seeming how it's just coated in etch

Anyway, It's getting to the stage where she's nearly rolling, I've just gotta clean suspension bits, radius arms, trumpets etc, so dad set me up this thing he made in around 85 when he worked at a place called mecros' it's basicly just a seat with a wirebrush on the end, makes life so much easier

I foolishly forgot to take pictures of a before and after, I got quite a few afters though

Going to go out in the shed tomorrow and do a bit more, managed to cut and bruise my arm with a wire brush attached to the grinder, dad did say when they bite they bite, it shot across what ever I was cleaning up, across my chest (no contact) and straight up my sleeve, luckily it snagged and stalled the grinder, and luckily my sleeves where down and I had gloves on, close call, especially if there was a disk on it :/
