With a bit of luck it should get it's first big test at L2B

if we do it this year... we are not happy with them. :(

Why, what has happened?

Not much and that's the problem, anyway I don't want to hijack your build thread, I'll tell you when I next see you. :D

Hi people, bit of an update. I managed to get in the garage this weekend and got a little bit more done. The resin i am using due to the very low temp in my garage decided to set up on wednesday and to be honest as a first try i am well pleased

It still needs a lot of tidying up and some glass work inside before i can cover it but will do the job nicely

As my amps are going under my rear seat i needed to make some sort of cover for them , with a cooling fan, as with them both going it will get quite warm under there.

So out came the tape measure, jig saw and power plane, some MDF and a lot of dust later i ended up with this

I managed to get a 3 speed 80mm computer fan and grille from a local computer shop, cut out a 75mm hole in the board, wrapped the whole thing in accoustic cloth and ended up with this

I have fitted a toggle switch in the top of the board that matches the main switches upfront, to allow for the fan to be turned off when the car is being judged, also a couple of scrap bits of board to leave a gap at the bottom to aid with air flow for cooling.

I did a trial fit of the board and my sub box, i know the sub is nearly sitting on the rear seat but i am not worried as i never have people in the back anyway

So all in all i think a pretty good weekends work, more updates to follow.

Anyone know a good way to remove spay glue overspray, bloody stuff gets everywhere

After some limited sucess in a few sound off competitions, i have got the bug and now want to upgrade and do better.

The front of the car will stay the same speaker wise

Posted Image

The sub and 6x9 are going

I love the light blue interior. I can't find any more pics or a build thread though to see more ?
What material is being used ?

The light blue material is from an audio shop local to me( well 12 miles away) it is blue alcantara. As daft as it sounds the dash and centre consul are the same colour as the seats in real life, just not in the photo's.

Yeah I thought it was alacantara. Was offered to get my seats in red alacantara and dash. Instead managed to get them in red leather for my restoration, but alacantara always looks great.

If you have some more pics of the interior with the seats. let me know !

I don't have any more at the moment but the front of the car is changing a little with this ICE upgrade, so there will be a few more taken with the build thread.
