How can it take 8 hours to fit a headlining?

I was quoted 4 by a bloke the other day who's making mine

Probably more like 10 hours in total but we have never done one before.

The one thing I'm dreading most of all when I do a full refurb on my MPi is the headlining. Good effort on yours!

We started at 2pm yesterday, so call it a long days work.

The wee lad says both frustrating but utterly satisfying.

I helped a mate fit a headlining to his once, I then decided it was a fantastic idea to pay someone to fit the ones in both my minis haha

The lad who's coming to my house to fit mine is also custom making it, so it's all his fault if it doesn't fit

both subbys in, shocks, hubs etc all fitted, handbrake working and front brake lines made (thanks Geoff-d) so he dropped the engine in last night.

Every last part polished and painted (to my frustration!) but the wee lad is happy and cracking on.

I think it's gear selector and exhaust today (could be wrong).

Photo's to follow.

Mike

Looks very smart, The sellers look great with the smoke grey. I'm going for the same colour just with a black roof.
