No fuel to the carb. poo. after loads of cranking still nothing! Figured the empty tank had sucked up crud and blocked the lines so i blew down the fuel feed hoping to unblock it. We then rocked the mini about hoping to dislodge any crap caught up. a few more other bits done and hooraah Nelly is alive again :)
The fuel gauge isnt working and i totally mis-judged how much she has been using since her running problems started.. never mind!

Skortch helped me strip down the scrap mini some more and we fitted some front dampers to the front end of Nelly. Got to do the rears next along with the adjuster rides we got off the scrapper.
Yayy! might crack out the welder soon

I just can't understand what that paint job is about, lol. Sound like you've been having fun though.
All the best!
Oh I know the answer to this one! The previous owner was apparently going for carbon look, but by chance was passing Travis Perkins and decided on dry wall look instead.
It's a shame they lost interest and got sloppy because if the whole car was done well It would be pretty outstanding.

Touching the paint you can feel some of the joining tape that has left sticky bits. All of the window seals have been painted over, arches weren't removed before painting, drips of lacquer not fixed and the amount of bodges we have found so far... well.. say no more!
I must state all this was done by the previous owner.
Darren, it was a laugh, i got to 60 and the steering became very light! roundabouts were hilarious

Was too busy doing grubby stuff to play art but i will get it finished for you

I have a tin of the purple colour paint if you fancy re-creating it

More parts have arrived today so will be taking a look at fitting them soon.

- Put hole in door by accident, Started preparing new doors to put on..
- Discovered some sort of clutch/bearing issue, Ignored it.
- Found the front windscreen seal to be very leaky, Ignored that too
- Girlfriend reversed into Nelly and bent the front grill and smashed air horns, Got my own back. plus archa gave me some air horns!
- Got a job (finally!), Will be taking Nelly off road for all the love she deserves!
