I know that guy too, i went to primary school with his daughter.. still see her sometimes! He wont sell them ones no matter how much money is waved at him lol I believe there is a mk1 or 2 tucked at the back.. also a cooper somewhere. He has a few lockups in the area packed full of minis that are slowly being restored and sold off :)

A silver one used to park on the right hand side of that road right by the traffic lights.. people eventually peeled off the Mini Auto badge then one day it just dissapeared The fella that owns them lives along that road.

Went up to see Keith with dan and my brother, a few surprises... the best being a volvo P1800 .. oh and a really old jag, all in mint condition being restored.
Decided we are going to take Nelly off the road and Keith is giving me a car to pootle around in.. he cant remember exactly what it is apart from "its old and a vauxhall.. 1.4 auto"! could be interesting

I looked at a few P1800 before I bought my Lotus. I fancied the idea of being the next 'Saint'. But the panels are not available to buy so they are a nightmare to restore.

Made a start yesterday with the help of my brother:
-Re-routed the wiring behind the grill (and cut out half an un-used loom!)
- Changed the bonnet so the catch isnt touching the dizzy cap anymore
- Painted hammerite red on the area that needs cutting out (also dropped the paint tin on the roof.. eek!)
- Repaired the broken air horns (alternator belt ate them and cut through the pipes)
- Fitted the sub
- repaired an earth in the boot..
Next is giving her a service and carb change which i will need help with (ohhh scotty botty.... )
Feeling a bit better about the car now as I got really involved yesterday and felt good for fixing it!

The red bonnet looks pretty good actually, just slice the lip off and leave red
Sounds like you made a good start, can't wait to see the rest of the transformation, I always feel better once I've done something that looks like progress on the car.

Didn't even overheat
If anyone has any photos of her on the day please post them up here

Pooped my pants tonight..
Can't give too many details about the incident as insurance and police are involved. Basically was rammed off the road by a van driver tonight - They have been found at fault and charges have been made to them. Nelly and I are ok!

Maybe just air in the clutch hose? I would bleed the clutch slave cylinder first and adjust.
