Got a strange knocking noise coming from the engine now.. that micra conversion is really shouting out to me, problem is insurance, how would it be dealt with? anyone know?

As in insuring a mini with an engine swap? You'd have to let the DVLA know the new engine number and capacity and then tell the insurers that it's an xxx cc engine. Think that's about it though.

Lol true, sodding emissions and brakes! They just didnt look at the body work at all.. not even the fist sized hole in the inner sill
Andy the paint job isnt my doing, it is growing on me though. No one wants to steal it with it looking so bad

Think I've seen this mini around and about Southend??......last time was a couple of weeks back in the Rayleigh vets car park.

 

Loving the rat look......the thing that stood out for me was the weird texture finish in the paint..... :)

Yep i live in Southend so you will see me dotting about everywhere in it.The paint really is growing on me now... in a strange "i hate this but love it" way.. Did a charity show the other day and parked the mini next to our stand.. had more people commenting on the car than the animals we took with us!

I wonder if it can be replicated.. i was given a tin of the pinky/silver colour!

Wipers have a mind of their own, sometimes they have park, sometimes they don't! Then they stopped working all together so my brother swapped some wires over on the fuse box.. everything works now!

The air horns have lost their boop now, its just the compressor pumping out air. I'm hoping its just an air line thats come off.

 

Also spoke with an older friend of mine and I found out his close friend raced alot of minis and may of kept some parts.. Stuart is going to ask on my behalf if he has any parts left over that he would be happy to sell to me :) yayy!

Well!  Had a phone call earlier.. turns out Keith has a few units to work on classics and repairs them in his spare time. I think he has a few cars stashed away too, will find out tomorrow! Going there in the afternoon so will take my camera.

 

I do alot of charity work in my spare time rescuing small animals etc.. Keith knows I volunteer and help Lesley (stuarts wife) run the rescue so is happy to help me sort the mini out at a friendly rate :)

Its a small world, my neighbour has told me about a mini stashed away in a garage in parts.. also bumped into a fella today who owns a mini and wanted someone to travel with on L2B!
