85ish on a bog standard engine. But if the world spins at 1000mph and i was traveling in the same direction then technically i was doing 1085ish? ;-)

I once got 67085 mph from my 998, relative to the sun that is, although it was stripped out (missing the card inserts from the rear bin) with power mods (badly painted red engine with a k&n sticker).

At the end of the day all mini engines are totally different,
Some of your engines might do that speed but some might do faster!
You dont have an opinion on anyone else's engine unless you have drove that car.
And it's all about the gear changes and the way you drive.

afraid not... its about phyics.... you arent going to do 100mph in a 998 which only has a stage one kit! its not going to happen unless your going down a hill which is about a 1:1

True enough, the Mini is aerodynamically on par with a brick wall in terms of ideal shape and the power to propel it per mph beyond a true 80ish mph rises drastically in proportion to your gained speed.
The only accurate measure of a top speed would be calibrated radar guns or similar, GPS is woefully inaccurate while the satalites are being locked in aswell as when you go 'into cover'.

The longest dif in the world isn't going to make you go faster once wind resistance comes into play.

Yea they are poor easy web you stick behind a car. Everyone looks at you funny when you fly past I wasn't in cover at the time as in the m1,

Streamlining another car is handy, less so when it's a porche 911 and there's another one (first cars mate) behind you as you enter the A130 (very fast A road) and the inside lane is full.

That was less enjoyable :P
