Simon's now all settled in at Uni studying Motorsport Engineering at Brunel in London. Nice to know the Mini is all warm in the garage and looking absolutely beautiful. I'm working a lot of hours and every spare day is spent at Simons so Rita or the Mini aren't getting much attention at the moment. Luckily the Mini only needs a few little niggly bits looking at and then it will be ready for it's MOT, I can't wait to start going on trips and using it daily again in Simons breaks, it brings back memories of the best time of my life and I'm glad Simon decided to go ahead and fix it It will be absolutely awesome when we start going to shows and about in it again and the strenuous summer of 2013 will have payed off, every spare hour was spent on the driveway, removing, degreasing, cleaning... painting and polishing, to an almost mind-numbing level sometimes, but it got done and it was so worth it
Well done Simon, you've built one HELL of a car...

Thanks for all the positive comments :)
Bit of a boring pictureless update today really, but I drove it for the first time in 14 months today with Craig, round the block Got back from uni last weekend and am home for three weeks, so.
That's all
Still got loads to do.. brakes need more bleeding (again), brightwork needs fitting, tracking/camber/caster needs to be sorted, seals need to be sorted, the bonnet needs to be fitted correctly and I can't get the release mechanism spring in properly so the bonnet won't stay down, some scratches in the bodywork need to be sorted, the wheels need to be refurbed, I need some new shocks, I need to sort some holes in the floor pan out, I need to fit the fuel filter bracket, the headlights need leveling correctly, and it needs an MOT!
Oh, and after replacing the driver's side CV joint and checking the wheel bearings, there's still a nasty cyclical squeaking noise coming from that side of the car. Need to figure out what that is and replace it.
Hopefully in time for Bingley!
