Mate have you welded the outer A panel on yet?????

Wondered if you haven't would you be able to take me a picture face on of the inner A panel. The door frame edge on mine where it sit up next to the A panel is butchered on mine and I could do with seeing what its meant to look like.

If that makes sense? haha.

I will do it tonight for you! I will get a few different pics.

Will have a goose at mine tomoz but im sure mine is butchered compared to irs.

Finished up the d/s shock mount today. Here it is held in place with the magnet

Ground down and etched up with 80 grit

Painted up !

Right went back out and sorted the d/ s a post by welding some sections in we're the a panel welds on

Then tryed on the inner a and as you can see it does not fit very well at all! But I have sorted the bottom now just need to adjust the top section (hit it with size massive hammer)


This is it fitting slightly better

Couldn't do anymore as it was getting dark and the welder and lights can't be on at the same time! Might go drill some holes in the inner a and scuttle panel tho!

Cleaned up the inner wing d/s this afternoon and drilled the holes in the inner a ready for paint

Painted it up ready for welding the inner a on!

Then I assessed my next issue well a few issues ! Need to Finnish all the inside bits like toe board , cross member, battery bracket and lots more half done jobs!

Been doing some more ! Drilled the manyholes in the scuttle!

Bare metalled the edge and zinc primed it up

Spent a while getting the inner a to fit almost there just a little more tweaking and it should be ok to weld on ! Then I can fit the scuttle and closers



I can see a light at the end of the welding tunnel.... Well kind of still got the doors and dash left after this front end !

Cheers mate it's getting there! Hopefully on Thursday I can get them both welded on!

Got the inner a welded on !


Then cut the joins for the scuttle and clamped it on. For a heratige panel the fitment is not as good as you would think needed allot of pulling and bending to get right

I will get it welded later wanted to make sure with my old man that it all looked straight first !

It's on without clamps! now just need to fill in the gaps!

Now a front end would come in handy! ;)

Cheers was hoping to get a front end today at riv run but no genuine panels there!

Looking really nice mate, i cannot wait to get cracking with my van going to be a long hall tho lol
