Right been cracking on today! Finished welding the scuttle on and ground it all down. Was going to weld the closer panels on but thought if I need to adjust it for the wings I wouldn't be able to.

Ground down all the welds on the d/s inner wing and painted that up as well as the scuttle welds. It's ready for the flip front now .............. JOKE !

So this morning a decided to sort out the spare wheel bracket. First I placed the old piece of floor pan over the new and marked out were it needed to go ! Then cut it out if the old pan and ground it all off.

Then I ground down and 80 gritted the rest of this section of the floor and gave it s coat of 182

Will be sorting the front part of this side next! Doing this because I'm saving for a pair of wings

Cheers mate! I'm going with a non gen front panel and genuine wings as I have had trouble with non gen ones not fitting well in the past! I'm just waiting on funds to buy them!

They can be made to fit but will take much more work ! I'm only doing genuine because I was never happy with my daily drivers front end that I changed.

Everybody is buying saloon front panels, is it purely an access thing or do you prefer the saloon style?

i just went cheap  even after buying the weld on grill and bottom bits the saving nearly paid for both my wings..otherwise it'd be months before i could get them...
