Hi there just been reading through your build again, where did u manage to buy that "strengthener panel to the inner sill"? as that does look like a good panel to use when doing my resto when i get to start it :)

Right so I went in the tunnel and felt a bit sorry for my van so I cleaned a space all around it to do some work! 
So I started by grinding all around the edge of the drivers door and pulled off what was left if the skin!
Needs this bottom repair section welding in before I can put the new genuine skin on!
I have started to clean up the edge with the wire wheel but I need to get some 80 for my da to Finnish the job! The rest of the frame looks solid thankfully!
Here is the new skin layer on top holes line up perfectly I'm glad I payed the bit extra !

Looks like you,ve gotten away with a door which could have been a lot worse to fix, i,ve seen mk4 minis with worse doors! haha
So does tunnel mean man cave then ?

Not exactly as I've cut a big hole in the passengers side floor now.
Your shells still more complete than mine.
