good luck..i went with damp cloths for welding the top edges of the skins and weld through just in the corners and the paint stayed fine for me :thumbsup:

Smoke grey along the front, yukon top left and tweed grey top right! Now me and the family have ruled out yukon grey so it's between the other two I just can't decide I think I will leave it to the mrs later :s

Shame i like the yukon the most then tweed grey and least smoke grey.

Cleaned up the rest of the door tonight on the inside and gave it a coat if zinc 182 need to drill the drain tubes in still!59A758CB-D2FE-4DB2-AF1D-06E82B8CE176-104
Still undecided on colour I'm going to give them a polish and then make the decision ! Been talking engines with my dad's mate tonight (built lots in the 60s) and 1293 turbo is what we are aiming for no cut bulkhead and hidden intercooler to keep it looking standard !

Got done paint on the inside of the door today but had a slight issue with what looks like silicon reaction might be sumin to do with my overalls bleeding brakes the other day ! But it's not seen so it dosent matter!

No i didn't get one with the van this ones out of my old bright green one ! Going to be fully rebuilt 1293/1330 turbo when done

i was going to say, if it was the engine that "was" in the van then be careful,  i seem to remember the former owner mentioning a few issues with it.

As you already know the engine then it sounds like its going to be an easy build :) So looking forwards to this being finished!

Yeh that engine was taken out by the guy I bought it off I think for his minivan so I'm lucky then! It's coming along slowly
