Christ alive! 80notes! I'm considering making a clamping system for the battery and doing away with bracket.

I can do you some piccys tonight if no one has them in the meantime.

Although I think it's just spot welded to the floor.

Mine was just spot welded to the floor (when the floor was existing lol) - Im doing away with my battery support too - you could have had mine if you wanted (it would have cleaned up ok)

Cheers ! thats perfect ! i will get that welded in at the weekend! :D

update for you!

started tacking the passenger side corner repair on after fixing a patch of rust in the arch
Posted Image
had to cut a section out as these panels are not very well shaped
Posted Image
Drilled and 182ed the inside of the valence corner and got that welded on next as i am nearly empty on the gas :(
Posted Image
closing panel
Posted Image
arch looks a bit messy but will all grind down perfect! lol
Posted Image
Rear end almost there! just gotta get some more gas and fill in between the tacks on the passenger side corner and then grind it all down! :D

Haha it's quite good more than 1 mini would fit in quite well but that would require some tidying :s. I'm struggling to keep it tidy for just this one! It's a perfect spray booth when it gets a little bit warmer :) igloo FTW

Getting the rear corners and arches solid feels like a really big step. It was so good to know everything was solid, it wouldn't be prone to twisting etc.

Update :D
Well i looked at the van today and thought i wonder whats hiding under this very solid looking, expensive looking oversill (not!) And i got a nice surprise! the old sill was still under and this could of caused some noise as the shell flexes when being driven as it has been rubbing on the vented areas :(
Posted Image
The old sill basically crumbled off everywere...
Posted Image
most of floor removed as you can see i will only be replacing half of the rear part as there is no rust there :)
Posted Image
Bottom of rear quarter filler removed to find nice bodges
Posted Image
1cm thick ! i have now cut out this hole section !
Posted Image
So i have decided to replace the doorstep aswell as it has a few holes in it and would prefer them not to return! before i can do this i need to remove the rest of the front end but i have run out of cutting discs again so i will go to screwfix tomorrow. looks like both of the hinge panels need to be done so thats more panels required! :@ Will update tomorrow after i get some more cutting discs !

Done a bit more chopping today ! here are some pics :) The inner and outer a panel were held on with weak tack welds and the old inner panel was just hammered in so the new one would fit :/ bodgers!
obviously i braced it up before i cut the door step out ! :D
Posted Image
Posted Image
Posted Image
slightly better than the other side but the subframe mount area will still be changed as i dont want problems with this in the future!
Posted Image
Wing and A panel removed
Posted Image

Stay tuned for more updates tomorrow! :D
