cheers mate! Im used to working quite fast as i work in a bodyshop! Plus im sick of my brother having a better condition mini than me and driving around getting all the attention from it when i was the one who restored it!

well if i do speed on ahead im sure you will catch up!We're at a very similar stage. Unfortunately I've got a new job and my dad has a chest infection so no work being done on mine.

Yeh the palm trees grow well as we are close to the sea! but thats not good for the cars! salty air!

bit of zinc !

zinc primed the new bit

then i struggled to get the subframe on and bolted the new piece on to mark were i would need to cut it :)

Also bit worried about the alignment of the subframe as it was very very hard to get the 3 corners to bolt up holes were at lease 5 mm out depending on what corner you done up first :s i know there isnt much flex in these old rubber bushes so will replace them and see if that helps

Your van looks in a similar state to mine ? Lots already been done ? I need to get of my ass and weld that end repair on! :@

drilled and painted the stiffener panel ready to be welded on after i tacked the heel board repair panel on.

Clamped it in place

Started to weld in on but the welder is playing up and needs a new tip on the gun so i will get one tomorrow and Finnish off welding the heel board end and the stiffener.

Got £15 xmas money from work so i will be using that to buy 2 more tins of zinc 182 tomorrow aswell!

Any idea what your total build cost is going to be, or are you ignoring the running cost?

cheers bud! i could have done some on it today but the GF dont like helping when im welding XD but she dont mind filler work! shes going to have a lot of fun with that!
