We're at a very similar stage. Unfortunately I've got a new job and my dad has a chest infection so no work being done on mine.

Keep the updates coming!

right then this afternoon i got of work early so i got a little bit done to the van. Removed the corner of the heelboard and the rest of the loadbay to inner sill stiffener. then cleaned it all up
Posted Image
bit of zinc !
Posted Image
zinc primed the new bit
Posted Image
then i struggled to get the subframe on and bolted the new piece on to mark were i would need to cut it :)
Posted Image
Also bit worried about the alignment of the subframe as it was very very hard to get the 3 corners to bolt up holes were at lease 5 mm out depending on what corner you done up first :s i know there isnt much flex in these old rubber bushes so will replace them and see if that helps

Slight update for you !
drilled and painted the stiffener panel ready to be welded on after i tacked the heel board repair panel on.
Posted Image
Clamped it in place
Posted Image
Started to weld in on but the welder is playing up and needs a new tip on the gun so i will get one tomorrow and Finnish off welding the heel board end and the stiffener.

Got £15 xmas money from work so i will be using that to buy 2 more tins of zinc 182 tomorrow aswell!

Any idea what your total build cost is going to be, or are you ignoring the running cost?

Im at around the 2k mark now including the price of the van :( im not including consumables as these cant really be put into the folder of invoices i am building up as part of the vans restoration folder :) Around 3k total is what im aiming for really then if i was to sell it i would make a little bit! (im never going to sell it! :D)

good work Ryan :P!! keep it up

Nathan

3k would be a bargain, I think that is about where I am at right now. I know I have plenty more to spend but I'm allowing the extra as I want to show it,

I need a gf to rope into working on my car. I'm not getting much done!
