3k would be a bargain, I think that is about where I am at right now. I know I have plenty more to spend but I'm allowing the extra as I want to show it,

I need a gf to rope into working on my car. I'm not getting much done!

I know i wont be able to keep to 3k making it the way i really want. I will be restoring her mini once this is completed so she kinda has to help me with the van to get it out the way! Cant wait to start on hers! Speedwell blue OEW roof MK1 lookalike

Not much happening at the moment have to work every day this week so no daylight to work on the van ! as soon as i get time i will blast through it !

Got £15 xmas money from work so i will be using that to buy 2 more tins of zinc 182 tomorrow aswell!

Any idea what your total build cost is going to be, or are you ignoring the running cost?

Im at around the 2k mark now including the price of the van im not including consumables as these cant really be put into the folder of invoices i am building up as part of the vans restoration folder :) Around 3k total is what im aiming for really then if i was to sell it i would make a little bit! (im never going to sell it! )

cheers bud! i could have done some on it today but the GF dont like helping when im welding XD but she dont mind filler work! shes going to have a lot of fun with that!

the daily is driven 30+ miles a day sounds like a diesel and the exhaust is not leaking! bangs creaks and patches of primer. OVERSILLS (on when i got it) leaks oil like a beast!

Got a little bit done to the van today even tho i woke up in a very bad mood! got the heelboard repair and the floor to sill stiffener fully welded in and filled some of the gaps on the rear corner repair. Will update with pictures tomorrow after i have got the floor almost in hopefully! :)

couldnt do anythig on it today as i didnt realise i had work 8-8

Right an update for you!
Been quite busy over xmas lots of time to spend on the van! and eating sweets!
So first i finished welding the heel board corner on an the drilled the floor to inner sill panel


Cleaned up the edges of the new floor and painted with 182

Removed the rest of the cross member


Then i got the floor clamped up and welded the strengthener panel to the inner sill



Double cut the bottom edge and tacked it all the way along

heel board edge welded up. i will fill in the gaps between the tacks tomorrow!

No messing there! Keep going, this is good stuff. I'm interested in those inner sill strengtheners. Are those 'optional extras' ? Or vitals? I dont't seem to have them on mine.
