i upgraded mine from standard mini to landrover spec, which just fitted in the same place as the original one, upgraded my alt to 65amp, still need to upgrade from starter to alt though, which will be done soon

Hmm Landrover you say, interesting.

I 'think' I already have a 70 amp alt, being a '94 car. At lease Minispares thinks I should have one but Minisport doesn't and not having a multimeter that won't explode at that level of current I can't find a way to test annoyingly.

As for live cable, I've got 5m of 0 gauge in the garage but if the lanny one is direct swap then I might go that way. Don't remember where you got it from by any chance?
