I don't know about you guys, but I'm upgrading to 2 x 12" subs asap!

Oringnally posted on Reddit 3 days ago. God you are so last Monday. ;D

I've got a better pic of 2 subs secured in a boot, but this is a family friendly forum so I can't post it ;D

I'm sorry, I've been busy playing with my growing pile of new toys!

I've got some great shots of boxes with well shaped ports...
Actually, you've given me an idea! Not sure a mini boot is big enough though.

There is always room on the back seat area, as long as you keep things tightly packaged...

Good point, I'll see if the wife's busy she will be happy to get involved with the install!

I think this might be the one time Zip Ties would be an acceptable securing device ;D

Haha! Vitally important to properly restrain your equipment.

You're going to love my approach to sound suppression.

Veering away from fetish sub culture for a moment (i know, I really didn't want to)...

When upgrading the big 3 on a mini, in regard to the live do I just upgrade to the relay where the battery live currently goes or should I be running a new feed from relay to alternator too?

I've put a 2 gauge run Directly from the Alt to the battery. As I've got 120amps going down it. But this means the car pulls power to start thought the small gauge that goes from the Alt to the starter.

On a MPi this is less of a problem as the 'link' cable is quite heavy duty, but on a older cars I would upgrade this 'link' cable as well.

Nope, I've read that 3 times and still not getting it I have been in the garage10 hours admittedly).

So you're saying replace cable to relay and wire between relay and alt? Or run new cable to alt direct and upgrade link wire to relay?

>_<

The starter, sorry. My live runs from the live terminal to it not to the alt.

Yes, so re read my post bearing in mind the cable to the starter...
Mine was wire normally via the starter but now goes direct.

Super!

Now, would I be right in thinking that you chaps run the new live through the car? The stock one is underneath but I'm guessing it's got tougher shroud.
