Thanks for the info, just messaged him! Never thought this would be so frustrating! I figured getting you car in a restoration place would take the stress off lol!

I've still got the vague hope he will do as promised, don't like slating anyone, and will update blow by blow, touch wood fingers crossed and everything else that brings me luck!!!

Hopefully he is reading this thread and he will do the right thing to start rebuilding the business!

Sorry to hear of this again, I'd cut my losses and take them to the small claims court.

Plenty of people on here would have evidence of their past dealings!

Either way ill end up out of pocket, small claims don't guarantee you'll get the money back :(

When the Bailiffs come knocking and disappear with his tools/car/telly they generally find the money

Can't take his tools. Can't take his car if its needed for business. Can't take his telly if it's a registered business. Been there, tried that, was £1200 for a car and £75 for the court fees down with nothing to show but a dealer-bought car made of filler and a bad knee.

I dont think its a registered business. The balliffs are allready chasing him for the existing CCJ from the issue over Mannake's car. Mannake won a court case hands down and now is trying to recover the money. If you contact him and get the details of the judge/court, you can send them this new information and they may be able to help you.

I honestly don't no what the best course of action here is! If I take my car back I'm definitely going to end up out of pocket and be spending the money yet again to get it up and running, if I leave it with him I face the possibility of waiting god knows how long for anything to get done, either way looks like I'm screwed! I've read into small claims and when the bailiffs start getting involved it becomes really expensive and there really are no guarantees! Feel like I'm banging my head against a brick wall here! I have updated the editor at the mini mag, as they asked me to, but I don't no now!

Are any of your friends/family solicitors, any one you can ask for advice on your next move legalities wise?
