Got to convince the wife I need to extend the garage rather than the kitchen first.
Best of luck with that!!

not sure if our paths have crossed on the RSP register forums. Andy is the name and Im in Radcliffe, Manchester and am just about to embark on my RSP fix up. hope I don't find as much hidden stuff / rust as your car seems to have. buying my compressor and air tools Monday as when I first got her on the road last year (rear subframe re build) she gave me far to much pain doing everything by hand tools. hand tools + no electric in small council garage + 40 year old back and legs = Much much pain :) now moved house and have a nice big garage with electric and plenty of room so the work on the old girl is about to commence..also I have just done a crash course (on youtube) in mig welding :) im probably nucking futs but im going to attempt to weld the old girl myself (if she needs it) which I suspect she will under the surface. anyway thought id say hi as we appear to have a common goal, keeping the old girls alive. P.S anyone have a cheap mig welder for sale, one that's going to get blown up by an idiot AKA Me !!!!!

Slow progress but got the door frame/step welded in. Got to weld in the companion bin stiffeners and then move onto the rear quarter.

Bin stiffeners in. Just need to seam seal and paint and then the rear 1/4 can go on. I have trial fitted the rear 1/4 and had to make a few cuts to make it fit but its not too bad. Getting the black storage paint off with thinners is the worse part.

New rear 1/4 is one. Woohoo. Slow progress but now one side is rust free. ![]()

The wife tells me she wants to move in 5 years so I will need a bigger garage to make me move again. That means when I finish this one I'll be looking for a GT or an early MK1 or 2. LOL
