Impressive, when I saw that scuttle I was expecting the rest of the car to be rough but its very very tidy and is looking amazing after some TLC !

New wheels :) Well new to me anyway. They cost £155 plus £20 for a set of wheel nuts so still keeping tight with the budget

to be honest..... A project like this knocks spots off others that have £££ £££ spent on thiem. Your car looks great and is a credit to you.

Cheers

Been busy again :)

Decided I wanted the roof black like a Cooper but wanted to be a bit different so decided a carbon fibre wrap would be interesting and cheap to do. I've never wrapped anything in my life before so it was going to be a steep learning curve.

Keeping with the budget banger theme I bought the wrap off e-bay for £35 and spent £2 on an applicator.

Before wrapping

How hard can it be?

Posted Image

First bits are pretty easy especially the flat parts!

Posted Image

The corners are very hard to get right

Posted Image

If I done it again I learnt it's easier to do small bits at a time rather than in 3 sections like I did

Posted Image

Well pleased with the outcome.

Just bought it off e-bay, watched a couple of youtube video's of how to do it then got stuck in. It's a lot harder to do than the professionals make it look.
