I have just been informed that my Mini is featured in this months Mini Magazine so I rushed out and bought one. I am very pleased with the write up and photographs. 

Now to find another project for the winter.

Thank you Spike, thought I better get in quick before your Woody is on the road and they will not want mine when they see yours which by the way is outstanding and at a totally higher level than mine. I will have to step up my game with my next project

Just got my copy of Practical Classics here in Ireland and an excellent write up in Practical Classics Victor,great to see such a wonderful Mini on the front page.It gives me a lot of encouragement to see your Woody on the road as my 1960 Austin Seven is in the same state.Very rusty but never bodged and I too will be going down the route of an M Machine full floor..

M-Machine are a great company to deal with and their panels are superb. I got a bit discount from them for spending aload of money with them in one go so it might be worth a request to save a few pounds.

Sorry I have not posted for a while but not much going on with the Mini Over the winter, just a couple teething problems that I sorted :-

 

The oil pressure gauge glass rattled and buzzed when driving so that was stripped and resealed ( took some locating the source of the noise but relieved to find out is was nothing serious because what a racket )

 

The mileage counter stopped at 44,099 so I stripped the speedo and using a BMW headlight lens magnifier i re-filed an edge on the arm that ratchets against the drum of numbers to flick the round and now it works fine.

 

I purchased some Cobra supaslots and refurbed them but so far I can not bring myself to put them so they are sitting in the corner garage and will fit them on my next project when i decide what to buy

 

I cleaned and polished the Mini and have been to a couple of shows so far this year and done a few long trips about 80 miles for the longest and it drives like a dream and I also won the best Classic Mini in the Durham mini show on 29.5.16 so over the moon with that, There was a professional photographer at the show and she took some great photos of the Mini so I have put them on for people to see.
