Every car has them with the pin sticking through the bottom up. That's the way the taper on the pin sits
Seems slightly daft to me, like puting the tierod bolts in from the top makes sense why not or all critical components!.
Next time im working on it (more than likely monday next week), i'l correctly fit them and also start thinking about the mating faces and seam sealing plus buying a tin of zinc primer, btu i'l not lie money is tight and im relying on my mum paying me back for investing in it as hers to actualy buy things to do the work, its not the best situation but for a 19 year old college student thats got three cars i still appreciate what i've got greatly.
Hopefully my next post will be sooner rather than later and something along the lines of wings spot welded on :)
Cheers,
Cliff

Thankyou Craig, yeah i've decided to try my best to keep the metro and use as a daily after i've past my test for work transport and sell this, with my mk2 project as an ongoing one in the gaage, then the metro can be put were the Checkmate currently is under a car tent i've seen for sale :)
Have a little bit of an update for tonight after i've taken some pictuers, just a little something thats scome through the post :)

Thanks Ben, might as well have repaired them as i've got access to a mig and 3mm steel from the back of the guilotine at college , one benefit to finishing my practical work pieces early is i can do pretty much whatever i like there, next in the pipe line is to bend some inner sills for this mini for freeeeeeeee
