Hello hello!

This is my BOC rolling project. Not a restoration as such, more a repair project. It's taxed, new MOT and the engine drives perfectly, however it needs some attention to those pesky front panels and some luvin' generally.

Bought it very recently, very cheaply so can't complain. Has a solid floor and I'm committed to getting it shiny again!

It needs new:

  • Wings
  • A panels
  • Scuttle
  • front panel
  • door skin
  • Re-spray

Will be done in phases, with the bulk being done after the summer, so I can get a few miles in it with the top open should we get a bit of sunshine! Phase one will be the front end panels, then let the bank balance recover and get the doors and anything else done.

It's had welding on rear sub frame but it just flew through MOT so not worrying about that until next year.

Watch this space  :D

Hi bud, noticed that you mentioned the front end may need work, the front end on mine is good if you want that with the other parts you've mentioned? The parts were badly welded on so can be removed with ease!

Oh really? I'm not really savvy when it comes to the practical stuff so hadn't considered using parts of another mini, would definitely be interested. Will send you a PM.

Yes wings are very good and front panel has some minor bubbling - but as I said could quite easily be removed if it would be possible for you to just fit it to yours!? Look forward to hearing from you.

Just purchased a BOC myself.

I am in a similar situation, got 12 months MOT but some jobs to be done. First service since 2001 last weekend! Previous owner had it stored for a long time.

Mine is a bit rusty in the front valance and the sills / heel board is bad in the passenger side but other than that all good.

Is your roof ok? Mine seems to be fine but paranoid about it breaking :-)

Mine came with a spare roof.. Score! Have my eye on another as a backup too.

206 BOCs on the road apparently, you don't see many around. Youth got any pics of yours?
