I fit in to an unfortunate bracket where I love cars but can't justify the cost at the moment as I only use it once a week usually and that's for a 140 mile round trip so it had to be reasonable to buy and cheap to run. The result of this is a 2006 Vauxhall Astra SRi 1.7 CDTi:

I do need to get some pictures where it's not covered in snow but that will have to wait until I've had time to wash it and tidy up some scratches I want to deal with. It does what I need it to do and it's much more comfortable on the motorway than my old 106 was!

I dont think I've ever been fully normal.

But filling in the mini gap is Polo Coupe and Volvo T4

Audi A4 Avant, 140bhp diesel.

It's lovely, gets all the family stuff in, and has never let me down. Boring as hell to drive though.

For 20 years I drove company cars that got replaced every couple of years so had brand new BMW 3 series, z4 convertibles and the latest was an Audi a4. But then decided to go self employed and needed a cheap run around so bought a 2002 ford focus with 93k on the clock and car park dents all around. Can honestly say that I've never been so excited about buying a car (except the mini of course). Was like a teenager buying my first car again and feel proud that I bought it myself and it stands for me stepping out and doing something brave

O/S rear arch looks very good, the N/S has a little bit near the sill, but certainly not bad. It looks fairly solid from what I've seen so far, and only got 95k ish on the clock. :highfive:
