I have just bought a Rover 25 in BRG. Its a decent enough little car, and my first car was a 220 SDi so fairly similar to that. It just seems a bit underpowered really, but it is only a 1.4. It should do me for a few more months until I get the Mini back and rebuilt. The plus side is it only cost me 600 quid so I can't really complain. I was looking at MX-5s but I need something a little more practical for carting crap around every now and then.

I haven't driven for a while. Forgotten how much I loved it to be honest. Need the Mini back on the road.

Is it getting full throtlle? Take the air filter tube off the throttle body, open the throttle fully and make sure the butterfly opens a full 90 degrees. If it dont, its an 86bhp model, which can be opened to 103bhp by removing the throttle body, chopping the plastic stop off to enable it to open fully, then refitting the throttle body. ;)

Thanks! I'll get round to having a look next week. Things to do this weekend.

Just me and my mini. Going away for restoration work soon so I'm going to have to find something modern as a stop gap.

Saxo = going out and a little bit of spirited driving (I just hate the chav association :( think there a fun little car)

Mini's perfectly practical unless you're morbidly obese or have to carry a fridge with you everywhere you go. Hence I only own my Mayfair and commute in it every day. Ok it's only an 8 mile round trip, but what an 8 miles! AndI have taken it on long distance drives to Manchester, London, Devon, with no trouble.

Driving a modern Eurobox or South Korean wonder would be too boring. No-one stares or points or smiles. I couldn't afford to service one or pay to get it repaired when an expensive part goes wrong.

Plus, 5 of us want to go to the pub.... I won't be designated driver! :D

That's all you needed to say! Although take out the backseat and it makes even less likely you will be the chosen one.

13 plate Audi A4 Avant Tdi Black edition. Just had it re-mapped and is very quick and very comfy! Just bought the wife a Ford Kuga Titanium and that's a nice drive :) Very economical!

"My daily is a 4.2 V8 Audi S4 Avant in Dolphin grey! :)

Now thats a fun car!

1380 supercharged '73 mini pick up, and the Audi S4. Who needs "normal" and "sensible"!! "

S4 has now gone because I got a new company motor.

So out with the 2004 Audi S4 Avant and in with the 2013 Audi A6. I miss the v8s power but must admit, i do like the toys the A6 has, and the A6 isnt slow.

I'm still driving the mini, but hope to get the E46 330D running again by next year and use that instead.

You have no idea how much I want a 90!

I even plan on getting myself a towing licence when I finally do get one. Partly for towing Minis around and partly to legally tow someone out of a rut if they're stuck, much like Response 4x4 do.
