I have a choice of either a hino 700 series,32t, 8 wheeler tipper, or a daf 85,18t skip lorry, depending on how busy we are. On weekends I usually drive the mini or golf 1.6 petrol
This has changed a little, now got a bmw e46 coupe, 2.0tdi, which has been remapped I believe, and goes like the proverbial, even with just under 190,000 on the clock!

4.2 V8 and 4x4.
Frugal it isn't, but better than the X5 listed above I wager!!!

I got this when I took the A4 in for service. Problem is I had to give it back
That's a clever ploy. You like it and it will put a little seed in your head. You'll buy a new car sooner than planned and get the Q5? instead of another A4, thus spending more money. Especially when you add a few extras.
I have been looking at the early X5s just recently. Quite a lot of car for the money, even if they are over 10 years old now.
