Hi we have a mini mpi 13 1998. Something is draining the battery. We have had it checked, fitted a new alternator, cleaned the brushes on starter motor. Still got to jump start car every day. We think may be alarm, anyone know how to disconnect thanks all suggestions welcome

The alarm is located down the bottom right in the engine bay, get the workshop guides on here and they will help you did it

I doubt it is the immobiliser, u haven't left your lights on or something have you? Or maybe the charging wire from starter to the alternator is at fault, not the alternator itself? Have you checked your new alternator? Just because its new doesn't meant its working.

Have you access to a amp meter clamp type or older inline one? put it on the + cable and see what current drain you have and then track down by removing the connections one by one

Am I right in saying that if the bulb in the dash for alternator cct is blown then the charging circuit is dis and therefore not charging? If so, might be worth checking.
