I think that angling it so that the top edge is more horizontal might look better but it is a fantastic idea and I love it

Wow! I love the wood effect.... I guess that instead of a Red Bull can over the coil you should use a Ronseal tin

Did a bit more welding today.

 

Decided I didn't like the split height seat base, so I cut it down so it's the same height and cut down and welded up the companion bin.

 

Finished off by welding in the other harness mount, so I now have both mounts fiied up and ready to go. Just need to paint the back bit of the cage BEFORE I weld in the crossmember that the seats hang on, as it's going to be a bit tight in there with it fitted up.

 

Got a bit of arc-eye and a headache now, as I was welding without the mask because it keep hitting the roof and if I got low and looked up, the weld splatter kept burning me. Welding whilst squinting or closing your eyes tightly isn't good

 

But at least it's sorted
