the best time to sell I think is normally around the first qtr of summer after a few shows which people have been to and are thinking about reliving the mini thing, but thats not much use to you if you want to sell now, if not then I would get the engine swapped and work on the car to make it as nice as possible for spring summer 2014 and maximise the money you will get for it,
Is it completely standard ?

Yoda im not in a good position to source my own engine due to time restriction... My car is currently in Bromley and I somehow have to figure out how to get it to you?? When do you think you will be able to have the A+998 engine complete with gear box ready for fitting?
Once i have a fair deposit i can start looking for one!

If its pushed here in half a day, we could have it ready for you next evening LOL.
Seriously though, i cant say when i can get the engine ready as i will be doing this as a fellow member and not so much as a Trader. So i will be wanting a good deposit to cover the cost of the engine and then the balance on completion of the job depending on length of time to fit and how long to iron out any niggles. This is all assuming that the car is completely standard and not modified in any way.
Best regards.
Colin

We may be able to sort out transport, but i will have to arrange this with a third party, so obviously it will cost whatever their fee is.( prob about 40 to 50 quid ) I would normally do it myself but the towing vehicle is off the road at the moment.

"I did not want to scrap car because I'd already spent a fair amount of money on it"
"Even though I was planing on selling One became too attached to let go... "

What did you meAn by completely standard?
basically that it has not had modifications such as performance kits, wide wheels and other boy racer stuff. or in other words, similar to how it left the factory.

The deposit would be in the region of £200, to make sure i can get a reasonable condition engine.
Dont forget, i need to speak to the Lads to make sure we can fit it in before committing ourselves. Dont want to mess you about timewise. so bear with me if you want us to do it. We are really busy at the moment.

No worries. It may be a day or so, so keep your options open in case we cant fit it in the workshop soon.
